Gulf Lubcotes are family of adhesive lubricants available in variety of grades to provide for a wide range of operating conditions and various methods of application. Gulf Lubcotes provides maximum protection aganst wear and help prevent corrosion and pitting through a lubricant film that is highly resistant to moisture, acid fumes and corrosive fluids. This special film is tough and tenacious withstanding extreme temperature changes without drying, cracking or peeling.

APPLICATIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
Suitable for heavily loaded open gears in cement factories, coal mines and other high temperature applications.
Gulf Lubcote Nos. 0 & 1 are recommended for lubrication of open gears, wire ropes, exposed sliding surfaces, gear type couplings and railroad car centre plates. These products can be applied at normal temperatures by brush, swab or bath without heating. During cold weather these grades can be easily applied by heating. Gulf Lubcote No.0 can be applied for heavy duty enclosed gears where a lower viscosity lubricant does not provide sufficient protection or leaks out rapidly.
Gulf Lubcote No.2 is ideal for open gears and pinions in rolling mill applications where water is in contact with the gear teeth. It can be used in applications listed for Grade 0 and 1 where heavier product is indicated. Gulf Lubcote 2 must be heated before applying.
Gulf Lubcote No.3 & 5 are still higher in viscosity and must be heated for ready application. These grades have higher heat resistant properties, a decided advantage when used on gears exposed to high ambient temperatures. These products are especially suited for steel mill gears and pinion girth gears on rotary kilns and driers, open gears on travelling cranes and other similar applications. Also recommended for open gearing, wire rope, slides, rail road centre plates and serve many similar applications in steel mills and on machine tools.
