DESCRIPTION

Perma Clear Seal is a colourless coating which is quick-drying.  It penetrates into the pores of the material under treatment to bind the particles together in tough resilient, abrasive-resistent enamel.  It provides a protective barrier on porous surfaces, which resists chemical attack and eliminates dusting.

COMPOSITION

Perma clear seal is a one pack, colourless enamel coating which provides integral protection for building materials.  Perma clear seal is based on acrylic copolymer resin and is specially suitable as a base for protective enamel and waterproofing masonry, vertical surfaces and used as an excellent floor sealer.

NO WATER:

• Perma Clear Seal is water-free. This means that application an take place down to 00C provided surface is frost /ice free.

ECONOMICAL:

• Perma Clear Seal is economical. It gives long life protection at 10% of the cost of an epoxy finish.

EASE OF APPLICATION:

• Can be applied by even an unskilled labour since it is just a brush application.

LOWER MAINTENANCE COST:

• By hardening and protecting building surfaces with a tough enamel coating, porous structures can be given a longer life and normal maintenance costs can be greatly reduced. his applies equally external walls to and pavings.

TYPICAL APPLICATION

GENERAL

As a clear coating on Concrete, brickwork, masonry and rendered walls benefit from coating with Perma Clear Seal.  Perma Clear Seal makes the treated surfaces: waterproof, weatherproof, non-dusting & free from algae & fungus growth.

ASBESTOS CEMENT

It penetrates to create hard surface topping which prevents moisture penetration, binds together fibres and prevents build-up of grime deposits.  Ideal base for subsequent decoration.

FRIABLE AND CHALKING SURFACES

Has highly penetrative qualities and binds together friable surfaces.  Provides sound base for subsequent application of decorating materials.

NEW CONCRETE

One coat forms a moisture barrier film on new concrete, which retards moisture loss ensuring maximum strength.

DIRECTION FOR USE

SURFACE PREPARATION

Enusure surfaces are clean and free from dust.  Where concrete surfaces require cleaning to remove oil or grease, use a strong detergent in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Walls and other vertical surfaces - brush on Perma Clear Seal with a soft bristle brush in a liberal coating, ensuring penetration to the surface.

COVERAGE:

Perma Clear Seal will give a coverage of about 8 to 10 m2  litre per coat.  Generally 2 coats are recommended.

CURING:

Perma Clear Seal will normally dry to tack-free within 2-4 hours depending on ventilation and temperatures.  Allow six hours before applying subsequent coats.

WATCH POINTS

Ensure adequate ventilation during application.  Do not apply to wet surfaces, in conditions of high humidity or when rain is forcasted.  Protect from rain until dry.

PACKAGE AND STORAGE

Perma Clear Seal is available in 1 ltr and 20 ltrs metal containers.  Perma Clear Seal can be stored at below 25 c.  Keep away from sources of ignition.  Keep away from foodstuffs.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Perma Clear Seal has a low toxicity, but avoid ingestion.  Do not induce vomiting if swallowed and seek medical attention.  Wear protective gloves during handling and remove splashes on skin with soap water.  Wear goggles and in the event of splashes wash eyes with copious amounts of water for 10-15 minutes.  Ensure adequate ventilation.
