This application includes companies engaged in rolling, drawing, and extruding copper, brass, bronze, and other copper base alloy basic shapes such as plate, sheet, strip, bar, and tubing. These processes include copper rod manufacturing in which molten copper is formed into rod through a rolling process. This process typically uses a water-based emulsion for cooling and lubrication of the rolling stands. This coolant must be continuously filtered to eliminate the fines which would increase mill roll life.
Industrial water is used to transfer heat from the caster wheel or caster belt and must be filtered as well. Typically Hydro Band Filter or Double Disc Filters are used for these applications. Complete system packages including tanks, pumps, heat exchanger and controls can be proposed.
