DESCRIPTION
Perma Hypercrete is a polymeric addictive of cement for multi purpose use i.e waterproofing of basements, toilets, sunken portion, roofs, swimming pool, water tank etc for surface protection, repair, rehabilitation, floor topping, durable and aesthetic exterior finish with cement paint reparing of concrete and masonry, joining concrete to concrete etc.
ADVANTAGES
Perma Hypercrete combines water proofing with tough and high varying surface. Develops excellent bond in continous wet conditions. Is not effected by UV rays and by chemicals ranging from mild acids to strong alkalies. Most properties of the coating improve with age. Bonding aid for the new and old concrete/mortar repair and patching of concrete.
DIRECTION FOR USE
The surface should be free from all dust or foreign matters. All concrete surfaces should be thoroughly prewetted for at least one hour prior to the application of Hypercrete coating, by pouring water on flat surface or by vigorously spraying water on vertical/inclined surfaces. Before treating the surface with Hypercrete, any excess water should be removed so that the surface is only damp. In no case there should be standing water or a shiny wet surface. Depressions may be filled and levelled using Hypercrete modified mortar prepared by mixing 1 kg cement, 1.5 kg silica sand and 0.5 kg Hypercrete.
Perma Hypercrete is mixed with neat cement in the ratio of 2 kg cement : 1 kg of Hypercrete. It should be stirred thoroughly until no air bubbles remain in the mix. The mix has to be applied by brush on the prepared surface. Two or more coats are recommended. First coat should be allowed to air dry for 5 to 6 hours before application 2nd coat.
COVERAGE
An yield of 1.2 of the mortar is obtained by mixing 1/2 litres of Perma Hypercrete with 1 kg of cement along with 1-1/2 kgs of clean zone-II sand. This mortar roughly covers 2 sq.ft to a thickness of 1 to 2 mm. In slurry with cement 1 kg of Hypercrete covers and area of 10 sq. ft per coat. Two coats are recommended
CURING
Perma Hypercrete system must be applied at temperature above 10 C. and perferrably below 35 C. During the first twelve hours of curing, it must be protected from abrasion, rain and other adverse conditions. No traffic should be allowed on a Hypercrete treated surface within 48 hrs of application. After application of final coat of Hypercrete the surface should be allowed to dry for 2 to 6 hrs. After maximum period of 6 hrs the final applications, moist curing should be done for the next 24 hrs by way of mist spraying. During this period at no point of times should the Hypercrete coating be left completely dry or submerged in water. Following moist curing the Hypercrete coating should be allowed to air dry for 3 days before submersion in water or putting the surface to regular use.
